In Amsterdam Noord, near Tolhuistuin and in the former Brughuis, Lav Kav opens - an intimate ceramic boutique where people get behind the wheel for a day workshop. The name comes from Armenian and simply means: good clay. The boutique lives up to its name, because whoever books a workshop at Lav Kav pays not just for themselves. Every booked spot co-finances a workshop for Newcomers or Amsterdammers with a city pass. The founder hopes that the boutique will become more than just good ceramics.

Do I need any experience with ceramics?
Not at all. Lav Kav is designed for people who have never touched the ceramic wheel.

What's the minimum age?
Let's say 16.

Can I take my work home?
Yes! You can choose two pieces that'll be fired ready for pick-up in a couple of weeks time.

Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes, but please see our cancellation policy below.

What should I wear or bring?
Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty - clay has a way of ending up everywhere.

Is the studio wheelchair accessible?
Yes, but please email us if you want to book a workshop. We'll try our very best to make it work.

Am I eligible for the discounted rate?
If you hold an Amsterdam stadspas, you can book & bring your stadspas. In all other cases, please e-mail us so we can check if it fits with our program :)

How does my booking fund a discounted spot?
Lav Kav runs on a one-for-one model. Every paying booking contributes directly to covering the cost of a workshop for someone who otherwise wouldn't have access. No donations, no charity - just good clay for everyone.

Do you sell ceramic pieces?
Yes! Please visit the shop or check the instagram.

Stuur een mailtje naar hello@lavkav.com. We reageren zo snel mogelijk. De dag waarop we je mail ontvangen telt als annuleringsdatum.
